International sanctions
In the Czech Republic, the competent authority responsible for the national coordination of carrying out of international sanctions imposed for the purpose of maintaining or restoring international peace and security, protecting fundamental human rights and fighting terrorism is Financial Analytical Office (FAO). It was authorized by adopting Act No. 69/2006 Coll., on Carrying Out of International Sanctions and Act No. 70/2006 Coll., amending selected acts in relation to the adoption of Carrying Out of International Sanctions. FAO is responsible for the coordination of implementation of restrictive measures at the national level. Depending on the type of restrictive measure other ministries and government agencies participate in their sphere of action.

If you believe that you are unjustifiably listed in a list of persons, entities or bodies to whom international sanctions apply in the Czech Republic, you may request to be removed (delisted) from such a list with the relevant EU or UN body. In such case the Financial Analytical Office recommends to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (e-mail: sankce@mzv.cz) for further details.
